Ok, thanks for the updates, Jeff and Dan. Looking forward to the return
of histotest in the next release. So, this BR can be closed. Can anybody
do that?

I removed histotest from leptonica 1-69 (Debian package) because I
didn't want to ship too many programs in leptonica-progs. Here is the
description:

*Makes histograms of grayscale and color pixels
*from a pix. For RGB color, this uses

Dan Bloomberg, the author of Leptonica removed histotest. I think he
just wanted to separate the wheat from the chaff. Feel free to contact
him directly if you wish to discuss. The source code for histotest still
exists, it just isn't built or shipped by default.

Ok, but still a bug in Oneiric and Natty.
Regarding Precise, it is not yet out of beta testing - it won't even boot on my
hardware - so I haven't used it.
Why was histotest removed in leptonica-progs-1.69? Is there replacement for its
functionality?
