Public bug reported: In Ubuntu 11.10 and earlier Boost libraries were successfully recognized by CMake. After clean install of 12.04 CMake fails to find any Boost libraries. It finds headers, but don't see any .so files in /usr/lib. Boost built from source and installed by default to /usr/local/lib is recognized by CMake with no problems. The files in /usr/lib (from libboost-dev package) are named like this:
libboost_thread.so.1.46.1 If installing from source there are three files for each library: libboost_thread.a libboost_thread.so libboost_thread.so.1.46.1 It seems that CMake searches for libboost_thread.so and thus fails to find any file.
