Public bug reported: I'm using 12.04 LTS (Lubuntu) on a Sony VAIO YB3V1E/S AMD E-450 notebook.
This didn't happend in 11.10 (I installed 11.10 originally and upgraded it). If I have xfce4-power-manger set to suspend on lid close, then when I open the lid and press a key to resume it, the notebook resumes briefly and then goes backt to sleep. My guess is that maybe xfce4-power-manager is getting a spurrious lid close event after or during the first wakeup. A second key press resumes it again and then it stays awake like it's supposed to. If I disable the use of the lid key for suspsend and do it manually using the sleep key (fn + F12), then I don't have the problem. I'm using the fglrx driver from the ubuntu repository. ** Affects: xfce4-power-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/991970 Title: notebook goes back to sleep immediately after being resumed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-power-manager/+bug/991970/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
