For the ones who do want to keep animations for the rest of their OS,
append
& !(class=Eclipse & (type=PopupMenu | DropdownMenu))
to the second animation window match field.

Well in my case, I think I may have found a workaround. I installed
CompizConfig Settings Manager.Inside the settings manager under
Effects, I turned off "Enable Animations". So far my menus are all
rendering without issue. Probably the Animation Selection could be
modified to exclude only E
Any updates/progress on this? It's highly annoying and unusable.
