Public bug reported: I did a fresh install of lubuntu 12.04 LTS 64-bit on my Sony VAIO YB3V1E/S with AMD E-450.
I cannot make xscreensaver turn off the lcd even when i check "quick power off in blank only mode". I am using blank only mode. my workaround is to have a perl script that watches the output of xscreensaver-command -watch and uses either vbetool or xset to turn the lcd off when the screen blanks and back on when it unblanks. ** Affects: xscreensaver (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/992248 Title: xscreensaver does not turn off lcd when told to do so To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xscreensaver/+bug/992248/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
