Public bug reported: Two bugs, actually. Had to downgrade the Modemmanager just to send this bug report, because the one shipped with Precise isn't working for me.
Currently the default version of Modemmanager, while it detects the dongle, doesn't seem to connect my MTS MBlaze (ZTE CDMA Tech). I tried this on both my desktop (fresh installation) and netbook (upgraded from Oneiric). I then decided to downgrade the Modemmanager to the older version just to get it working. The version is: modemmanager_0.4+git.20110124t203624.00b6cce-2ubuntu1_i386.deb Another bug I noticed in Precise was that, if I remove the dongle and replug into the USB port, the system freezes immediately. I can't do anything other than a hard reboot by pressing the power button on the CPU.
