Ubuntu 12.4 on Toshiba C665 Laptop (Nvidia Card) the monotor is too bright
[1] LAPTOP SCREEN TOO BRIGHT
The brightness is too much I can not look at the screen without squainting my
eyes.
I Might need sunglasses or a sun screen like in car pasted on top its so
difficult to look at the screen
Dual booting to Windows 7 is better
[2] BRIGHTNESS CONTROL BUTTONS NOT WORKING
The buttons to reduce n increase brightness seem to rise some event the pop up
displays a slider going up or down but the brightness does nort change
[3] NVIDIA-SETTINGS
I can manage some colour change (effecting the brightness in crude way ) but
the settings do not seem to stay I have to reset them once every few boot
