Stéphane, there's nothing to stop a developer from putting a link like
that in their application's description right now. That doesn't fix this
bug because it requires each developer to set up their own donations
service; and it requires users to learn, trust, and enter their details
for, multiple
I'm impressed this hasn't been implemented yet.
The Software Centre should definitely give this option to the user.
An easy way to do it would be to make it possible, in the process of
adding a software in USC, to add a link to a donation page. If this
option is filled, then a button appears in

Then it wouldn't satisfy everyone, but at least be useful.
