For any users looking for a quick fix in the meantime...
sudo dpkg -i --force-overwrite
/var/cache/apt/archives/mythbuntu-default-settings_1.08_all.deb
(1.09 for me)
Then resume with the previous apt-get. Check your screen saver settings
while a solution is worked out.
