The version of Glipper in Hardy Final is complete rewrite of the whole
application, now it's a GNOME panel applet written in python. This bug
report is being closed as it is no longer relevant to the current code.

Glipper crash at
I have had the same problem on Hardy Beta. Glipper would start but then crash
when called upon key shortcut.
I solved by deselecting the NoPaste plugin.
Right click on glipper icon, then plugins, uncheck Nopaste.
