Yes, this is still an issue.
However, with latest Precise updates screen garbled only on Unity panel and
launcher (see attached screenshot).
I switch display resolution to another and then switch back to redraw
screen and get Unity panel and launcher looking normal.
I'll test with upstream

Natty was installed before on this PC, and all works ok.
I reinstalled system to Precise at 30 April and run into this issue.
These was clean install, as after upgrade I was run into bug #982485 and
trying to solve it performed clean install.
