Yes I've read the thread of upstream mailing list, and I understands the description of the bug. What I was saying is that this bug doesn't seem to affect i386 architecture (at least looking at the Debian changelog, I didn't see anything mentioned about -ff2c option). Are you using an amd64 computer? And if yes, do you have access to an i386 computer? Can you reproduce this bug on i386?
