Hello 2012/4/19 David Henningsson <955...@bugs.launchpad.net>: > Hi and thanks for reporting this bug (and duplicates). > I'm wondering what it is that can cause this infinite recursion to happen. > Are you using some special pulseaudio configuration here?
Yes I use pulseaudioequalizer > Is it happening every time or just occasionally/randomly? Randomly. But 12.04 crash always without any activity. Just open windows and crash-crash-crash. Or just do nothing. And where is the time indicator? It lost. > Will running the command below cause the error to occur? > > canberra-gtk-play --file /usr/share/sounds/ubuntu/stereo/desktop- > login.ogg > > > ** Changed in: pulseaudio (Ubuntu) > Status: Triaged => Incomplete > > -- > You received this bug notification because you are subscribed to a > duplicate bug report (971112). > https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/955894 > > Title: > [infinte recursion, libcanberra] gnome-settings-daemon crashed with > SIGSEGV in init_defaults() > > Status in “pulseaudio” package in Ubuntu: > Incomplete > > Bug description: > shortly after system start > > ProblemType: Crash > DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 > Package: gnome-settings-daemon 3.3.91-0ubuntu3 > ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-18.29-generic 3.2.9 > Uname: Linux 3.2.0-18-generic x86_64 > ApportVersion: 1.94.1-0ubuntu2 > Architecture: amd64 > Date: Wed Mar 14 17:56:57 2012 > EcryptfsInUse: Yes > ExecutablePath: /usr/lib/gnome-settings-daemon/gnome-settings-daemon > InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS "Precise Pangolin" - Beta amd64 > (20120301) > ProcCmdline: /usr/lib/gnome-settings-daemon/gnome-settings-daemon > ProcEnviron: > LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 > SHELL=/bin/bash > SegvAnalysis: > Segfault happened at: 0x7f9c6fbf0111: callq 0x7f9c6fbf82d0 > <pa_once_begin> > PC (0x7f9c6fbf0111) ok > source "0x7f9c6fbf82d0" (0x7f9c6fbf82d0) ok > destination "(%rsp)" (0x7f9c862b0f00) in non-writable VMA region: > 0x7f9c862b0000-0x7f9c862b1000 ---p None > Stack memory exhausted (SP below stack segment) > SegvReason: writing VMA None > Signal: 11 > SourcePackage: gnome-settings-daemon > StacktraceTop: > ??
