Same problem here, using a Linksys WMP54G (also rt2500) card in a
desktop machine (AMD64, but using 32 bit edgy). The card works fine for
me in Dapper with the following in my /etc/network/interfaces:

I understand the issue a bit better now: The USB drive is detected, but

OK, I provide another example.
Download and install this app:

There are ubuntu packages in download area.
After you get it installed, open the preference dialog. (Edit/Preference)
Then, press cancel., and the dialog hangs.
This problem doesn't exist on ubuntu dapper
The culprit is the xgl/compiz repository. It is unofficial and causes some
problems like this.
Try to remove and reinstall the problematic packages.
Also I think this bug can be rejected as these are unofficial repositories, can
someone confirm?

Its been a week of thunderbird headaches including a dapper reinstall
for other reasons. The vanishing TB was resolved in the next batch of
updates within hours. Now, no updates and TB just opens crashes and cli
gives a mess of segfaults. Guessing KDE and TB are not getting along?

One is gtk+, the other is gnome-vfs.
This can be set via gconf-editor.

installed by default though.

standard button one, then you change the "Edit Type" from the
preferences of the button from "Label" to "Stock" and pick a "Stock
Button" to the list

I think the link is correct but the html files are missing in that
directories, like I have reported recently (63207). I downgrade it to
from 2.10.4-0ubuntu1 to 2.8.20-0ubuntu1 to "solve" for me. ;)

Upps, I just retried it using the same steps. After the first click on
the workgroup I got the error message reported in bug 63102. However
this time the icon changed from a blank page icon to a network computer
icon. I was able to click on it and could browse the computer in the
workgroup.

I'm unable to test opening the share directly because my keyboard (old
Cherry via PS/2 adapter) doesn't work on the live CD. I'll try to
install it.
