While I was updating my system it got to 60% installing around the fonts
I believe. It then said that it had to quit because the software could
hurt my system. I did not uncomment any thing so it was just what it
was set up to download and

(it's not a hard dependency because you can use kdevelop for things
other than C or C++ where you don't need libtool).

Indeed, as I watch it in top, it seems to download all the pictures to
the disk, but it also keeps the memory reserved. This is a bug, right?

I can confirm for a nVidia 6600GT chipset, I have to set
SAVE_VBE_STATE=false (or uncomment the default, which is true).
When I've later accessed the "Monitor & Display" section in KDE's

I found a way in which this could happen (select Traditional Chinese and
then select a city in a country without a Chinese locale, such as
London; you'll end up with Simplified Chinese). This upload fixes that
case, which I think is probably roughly what the original reporter was
running into.

I'm using the latest in edgy, ie. 0.2.1. The memory usage grows linearly
with the pictures, while its importing. Apparently, ~130 pictures was
enough to fill my 512m RAM + 512m swap.
But I guess taking a backtrace is kinda useless, since it doesn't seem
to crash at any point. It just keeps hogging

The driver do support the internal CRT but the xorg.conf used by the
livecd does not setup a proper monitor section. I report this as a
separate bug/problem for the installer instead. Please close this issue.

I'm not sure what you mean. Previously when a java file was opened it
was highlighted for java. Now, when I open a java file it is stuck with
C highlighting which means that words like public and class are not
highlighted, but types that are part of c like int are.

Hibernation is much, *much* better in Edgy. I haven't had this error and
I have done a fair few hibernates. If it is still happening then I have
been lucky enough not to have it happen to me :).

This also affects the one edgy box I have. Control-Alt-Plus/Minus are
ignored in any window manager I use, whether I am running X as root or
as a normal user. It is, however, still possible to cycle through your
configured video modes using xvidtune or similar.

tasksel to use apt-get would be the path of least resistance for now.
However, I just had a look at tasksel and I can only do this by dropping
a feature (installation by priority). That may not matter too much in

I get this behaviour too, but oddly enough, only on two of the three

I've just rebuilt the ifupdown binary package from its associated
source package, and /etc/init.d/ifupdown and
/etc/init.d/ifupdown-clean are no longer included! It seems that the
original ifupdown binary package shipped with Dapper/PPC wasn't built
correctly. Rebuilding it fixes the issue.

I tried to sleep, and after wake-up, the text consoles were gray. I
could refresh them by pushing enter and letting the login-prompting

The card works for me on my system and also on the edgy beta livecd.
IIRC, to get it working on the livecd, I simply edited
/etc/network/interfaces with the right settings for my WLAN, and then
did an 'ifdown wlan0' and an 'ifup wlan0'.
AFAIK, the beta livecd now loads the right firmware, so if I
debdiff between 1.8.23 and 1.8.24

Sorry - I have since sold this PC and got another one so can't verify if
Dapper or Edgy work on the Shuttle. (They don't work on my new mobo but
that's a different story...)
