What id did is I replaced an ubuntu server 7.10 with a debian etch
installation where I setup raid 1 using two sata disks, and after
disconnecting one of the raid members System still was able to boot.
AFAIK ubuntu is debian's child, so I needed to try if the parent
reproduced the error t

when you try to add a username with an underscore (Which is valid, our

I have the same problem on HP Compaq nx9105 with Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty.
The /proc/bus/input/devices reveals, that the touchpad is detected as
mouse (see attachement)

There is no issue as the GPL allows non-GPL code to be used from a GPLd
project.
The GPL _only_ forbids to use GPLd code from non-GPL projects, but this does not
happen in cdrtools

Hi Emilio,
Trying that now. It seems to be yielding much more in terms of both CPU
and IO wait. I will try it for a few days, and let you know if it is
still good in the new year, but so far it is behaving far better than
the 0.6.3 tracker which I was often killing out of frustration.
