Same problem for me.
I run yakuake with compiz fusion and nvidia drivers.
I am able to reproduce it every time I want. I only need to:
- open two tabs in yakuake;
- start an ssh session with a new process in every tab;
- every time I mimize yakuake Gnome crashes and I am sent back to GDM.

I started using hardy (coming from gutsy) and changed nfs at the same
time from unfs3 to nfs-user-server because of different reasons.

- The User Switcher Applet should be added to the panel if you have

preference set in the Preferred Applications control panel.

Yeah, the iscsi stuff is not getting shutdown completely. There is a bug
when using 2.6.21 and newer with targets that are using write back cache
like your target.
There is a fix for the upstream 2.6.25
