I'm having the same problem with Visual Effects on 'Normal' in
Appearance settings after waking up from a suspend to RAM. Video card
description from lspci is as follows: 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller:

I have upgraded Rhythmbox to the Hardy version and tried what you
described, but you seem to be mistaken. Rhythmbox _does_ support re-
importing the same directory. If you import a directory and then later
put a new music file there and re-import the directory, then the file is
correctly added to
Public bug reported:
Hi guys,
so there is a major issue introduced by upgrading alsa via lum as it changes
the kernel ABI breaking subsystems that depends on alsa like v4l
or the load of any external built module that depends on alsa.
Booting a perfecly clean 2.6.24-8:

- new upstream release 0.5.5. for swfdec
+ sync new upstream release swfdec 0.5.5. from debian unstable (main)

FYI, this happens way more often to me with the Human theme than with
either Clearlooks or Glossy. On the latter two, mousing over the title
bar buttons causes the bug maybe once out of every 10-20 times (compared
to 1-2 for Human).

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: backupninja
When using backupninja on a laptop, it would be nice to be able to
choose to not run certain jobs when off AC power. I don't want to use
my limited battery power running a backup, I'd rather wait until I plug
the system in.
** Affects:
Setting to Critical. The general approach of upgrading subsystems in lum
is elegant (to keep the code clean) but it breaks subsystems.
** Changed in: linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.24 (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided = Critical

valberg,
I am attaching an updated patch for the latest version of the kernel
modules package. This is meant to be used instead of the patch on that
tutorial.
I have tested this on my ThinkPad x61s and WPA-enterprise works quite
nicely with it. :)
** Attachment added: Patch to
I have modified backupninja to check if a job is not supposed to be run
on battery power, and if not, if the system is on battery power. It
checks for a runonbattery option (which defaults to yes) in the main
section of each backup job's config file in /etc/backup.d, and uses
acpi -a and grep to

Ah, well there was another problem earlier in hardy which resulted in

I obviously didn't explain myself. I can navigate in any browser
including Konqueror. What I meant was that even if I make Konqueror my
default browser, hyperlinks don't open it (not only Firefox). The
problem seems to be one of any application that isn't a web browser not
opening hyperlinks.
When indexing is enabled, the icon animates constantly (ie: it doesn't
stop when paused, the computer is in use or is on battery power).
Disabling tracker entirely does stop the animation. This is on the
latest Hardy.
