OK, I uploaded a network-manager upgrade for intrepid to my PPA:
https://launchpad.net/~ttx/+archive/ppa
This release (built on the latest network-manager in intrepid-proposed)
basically prevents network-manager from being shut down by sendsigs...
From my testing this solves the CIFS hanging
I'm not quite sure which one of these packages is responsible, klamav or
clamav-freshclam, but I can say that this is still a problem.
When updates via klamav fails, the same error message output appears in

I'd ask you to backport 0.27.2 to 8.04 and 8.10.
And it would be good if you ship 0.27.2 with
Thanks for the report. However that's not a bug, if you drop a gtkbutton
inside a gtkwindow it will expand itself and takes all space, that's the
correct way to work, if you don't want that, you can first drop a gtkbox
or a gtkfixed area.
the glade page is out of date, the latest package is 3.5.7
Is that a regression from the patch introduced in bug 331445, or an
entirely separate issue?
