The native resolution of my notebook's LCD display is 1280x800. This is
set in xorg.conf.
The logo only looks round on 4:3 displays. On displays with a
different aspect ratio such as 16:10 or 16:9 the logo is stretched.

Solution:
The MP-300 device must be powered on by the user before it is inserted
into the computers USB-port. Othervise it won't work.
On Windows XP this is not the case. There the device is powered on
automatically when it is inserted
That's better, but the presence of the reflection still makes it look
rather active. Unless it's easy to get rid of the reflection, and to
grey out the chart by making it semitransparent, I suggest just hiding
it altogether whenever Specify partitions manually is chosen.

This is still issue and it is becoming more relevant each day. Vendors
of pointing devices (mouses) are switching to laser technology which
also make mouses more sensitive as they have higher resolution.

I have opened bug #337311 regarding the ath5k performance problems in
Jaunty. I have re-tested today and it appears that some performance loss
has already been fixed upstream in compat-wireless-2009-03-03. I do not
know when this upstream version will appear in the Jaunty kernel.

This also happens in (Intrepid derived) Linux Mint Felicia. I was going
to report it there but having discovered its an upstream bug I think it
more appropriate to add the info here.
If it shuts down uncleanly (which it did thanks to the screen saver
freeze bug), the root partition is correctly
