This bug also occurs with ext3 and other filesystems. If someone
experiences ext4 filesystem corruption on i386, it is not related to
this problem. Maybe some bug reports were over merged.
This bug is specifically about the corruption that occurs on mainly
Compal notebooks with the AMD64 version
upstream closed the bug since the option has been deprecated and is
available from a different source now

The attached debdiff against the Debian sid version brings the pak-
kage up to date. It fixes the FTBFS on powerpc and sparc (hopeful-
ly) and a memory corruption bug from upstream.
