What's strange for me is that changing: Menu > System > Preference >
Mouse > Touchpad > "Disable touchpad while typing" has no effect on the
USB mouse. It does affect the touchpad but the mouse is always disabled
after each keystroke.
This is very annoying and drives me nuts.

I can confirm that i also have this problem under karmic. kubuntu-
desktop install under ubuntu seems to cause more problems than good.

Similar problem on a Lenovo SL510 thinkpad. After a while udevd goes to
25% CPU.
"sudo restart udev" does not help, I've got to "sudo killall udevd" a

I've experienced a similar error if 2 instances of gpg-agent is running.
in this case, the other instance 'blocked' pcscd so that the new
instance starts, but fails with the above error.

I tried the VIA driver 1.20.3 on my Zotac 9300 ITX WiFi with Linux Mint
8 Helena 64 bit edition (based on Ubuntu 9.10).
I can compile the driver without errors, but after i install the driver
it seems it doesn't work right. No wireless networks are detected, i'm
only able to connect to hidden net
The last functional version was "0.22.0+fixes22564-0ubuntu1 (karmic)" I
think.
At some point I can find this in the jamu.log. This could be a hint.
