use IDO e.g. MeMenu, sound menu. entering and leaving them seems to

I don't think this bug is duplicate of bug #496616, I'm starting to
think, the culprit is PITIVI. Other .ogv's are not affected, just the
one I uploaded. Other .ogv's start misbehaving only if this one is
I'm afraid, but such attitudes seem to be common in Ubuntu.
We had a similar case some time ago in Gusty, where 's2ram' binary was
intentionally removed fron 'uswsusp' package. And users were forced to
use buggy kernel-suspend instead.
My suspicion: force users to test and debug 'kernel-suspend'
I wholeheartedly agree with mabawsa. I've downgraded to Karmic for this very
reason. My battery lasts as long as it should, and my laptop very rarely
overheats (it ran hot as hell with Lucid).

It's simply not true that the word 'trash' is in common use in UK
English for this context. It is a term from American English and is just
not appropriate in a GB translation.

I agree with the last two comments. Battery lasts half of the time it
lasts on windows 7 and the laptop overheats significantly on a large
spectrum of machines.
This should be a critical bug.
BTW, is there an official kernel we can test against this bug? If
yes can anyone post a link please?
