Ok, tried different and combined things, like libata.noacpi=1,
libata.force=noncq,norst being that this last one was to block the
soft and hard resetting, which eventually cause the whole system to
crash and kernel panic for the first opportunity this bug came up.

I updated to 2.0.6 and it still crashes.
I can't reproduce the error and I've tried many times. Try opening a
bunch of tabs; use anything with lots of pictures, and close tabs one by
one, that always seems to work for me. You may need to open/close 20-30
tabs.

I ran into a similar issue, but found an alternate fix.
If I opened my home directory in file browser, evince-thumbnailer would
hit 100%, and stay that way. Additionally, no thumbnails would show up
in the window.
To make a long story short, I'd run some commands as root in my home
directory.
This has to do with MTU path discovery. The weird thing (to me) is that
EMSGSIZE is being sent by the kernel in the "read" call instead of when
the data is being sent. The client does not expect that and ends.

Currently when a grub multiboot image is booted with 'kvm -kernel' and
'biosdisk' module, it will see block devices of type IDE or virtio. It
will not see scsi devices.

The BIOS update from v1.03 to v1.27 works for me, too.
And by "works", I mean that the screen doesn't blank (or suspend) when I
play with the power cable, AND the netbook will actually suspend
properly on lid close now.

This morning I decided to try to solve this problem a little and I didn't.
I tried 3 different kernels, two older ones and one newer.
First I tried

Hmm, not sure it's worth patching this 'old' (0.5, from 2007) snapshot
of contacts, when we have a newer version of contacts (0.9) in the
archive. I think that this package should be deleted instead of fixed.

Do you still think it may be a hardware issue? I have an ASUS X83Vm notebok
with Seagate hard drive. Have no idea how to get more details about my

I don't get that many hang-ups after reinstall so I can't tell yet

I am still having this issue in Xubuntu 10.04 (32 Bit) installed on a Dell
Studio 15 (64 Bit).
Is there a fix? I tried the work-arounds floating on the internet, like
starting xfce4-panel in the terminal, saving the session and logging in again,
