I have created the HPLIP 3.10.6-0ubuntu1 package on 23 Jul 2010 on a
Maverick box which did not get updated for some days. There the hp-
toolbox worked perfectly. Then I updated the system and the crash

Same here: this is making my MythTV frontend unusable as about half the
time it can't see the MythTV NFS directories after booting.
This used to work OK in 9.10; I upgraded it to Lucid in the hope that
the newer kernel might fix USB remote bugs and instead I got an unusable
network and lost most o

I can confirm that as well. Note that in 1 out of perhaps 15 cases the X
starts successfully, but there is garbage on screen instead of the
ubuntu boot-up logo.
