As yet, I don't know. I Am currently using a Thinkpad R61i as supplied
by Linux Emporium with 8.04, and an Ideapad S12 - as supplied with 9.10
and 10.04dev (10.04dev on a separate partition, which I accepted updates
to - although I am generally using the 9.10 instance). All I've done so
I don;'t intend to replace the OS on my R61i until the Ubuntu 10.04
service pack comes out mid-August...

I guess, btrfs aborting due to a corrupted fs is expected behavior as of
now. I think, a safe way is to take snapshots regularly of your btrfs
and then reverting back to the previous snapshots when something goes

According to Carlos Parra Camargo, the drm-intel-next kernel 2.6.35-997
from the mainline PPA solves this issue. This kernel, however, works
only under maverick. Under lucid, it gives a blank screen on boot so I

Hey Jan,
I couldn't get it to boot without MacOSX installed. I just resized my MacOSX
partition to something like 15GB in size and left rEFIt for what it was. It
works well enough like this although I'd love to see more EFI support soon.
