This warning (and stop) is just before the background of the desktop is
drawn. Everything seems to be correct until this point. I use
crypt-setup and after that the splash screen is shown correctly.

as noted, the regular update software failed to install the fglrx
installer package. This is not the first time I believe that this has
happened, though when the updater gets done, says its done updating,
though it informs you of the errors that occured.

On a fully updated vanilla install of maverick (and a fresh user
account) the screensaver activates while playing a video with totem. I
tried VLC and it doesn't happen there, so I assume the

relative package), GStreamer only plays half frames.

same problem for me... skype worked fine on maverick alpha. now with
ubuntu 10.10 beta it crashes when sending a chat message. Exits with the
same error as stated above.
