This seems very similar to what I am seeing on my system if I use 2.6.37
instead of maveric's usual 2.6.35. I have been running ubuntu off of a
flash drive on this system since 9.04 and only recently stared to
encounter this. Unlike the original report I have never had the
accompanying kernel panic

When trying to install the 64 bit deb for Chrome, software-center pops
up a dialog with the following info...

- how do I get the bug report file? after it fails to install I can only run
Ubuntu from the pendrive.
I was using 10.10 in both cases, desktop and then pendrive. I did try

between us.
When I told :
"For the ", I read on the mercurial repo that there was problem with :

Have AMD Athlon x64 3200+ processor and Ubuntu 10.10 x64 installed.
There are lots of error messages like this in my log:
segfault at 418 ip f6071d36 sp ffc337e8 error 6 in
libflashplayer.so

If Ubuntu is not going to fix this on Audacity for 11.04 release,
changing the audacity.desktop as suggested by Doug McMahon should be a
good-enough workaround for now.
