I appear to have a similar issue. In Maverick x64 edition changing the
font size in the Appearance changed the font size used in the Nautilus
File manager. This no longer happens in Natty.
By default I always drop the default font size by a couple of points
otherwise they are far too large.

version it in synaptic, so it doesn't update with the regular updates. I
think the driver should be reverted to the old version until this bug is

I cannot reproduce this on Debian Sid with gcc-4.6 4.6.0-5.
The obvious "error" is here:
g++: error: unrecognized option '-no_dead_strip_inits_and_terms'
Until now gcc always just puke that the option is unrecognized and continued
(this one is needed on OSX).

I am probably getting the same error. While trying to fresh install
ubuntu 11.04 from USB I get just before end this "partman" error and
installer crashed. So I had to install 10.10 and use "update-manager -d"
to get natty.

Just a note to archive admins: please don't promote this to -updates
yet, as in the case of Maverick it will cause problems for Wubi users.
I've agreed with Martin that we'll add some Wubi fixes to -proposed at
the same time; I've done this for Lucid, and am going to be testing this

I completely agree, this patch is not the final solution - it's just a
'sticking plaster'. Better solutions must include changes to Upstart
which ultimately must handle system shutdown internally. Maybe there's
a case for adding a shutdown event which then blocks new services &
tasks from startin
