I tried upgrading to the new driver and issued:
$ rmmod b44
$ rmmod ssb
$ rmmod wl
$ modprobe wl
- No errors, but wl didn't work.
Then I removed the driver, installed the old one and issued the exact
command sequence as above. It worked.
My blacklist-bcm43.conf wasn't modified when upgrading the
Ubuntu won't diverge from upstream and Debian on this fix, so I am
marking the Ubuntu task as "Won't Fix" for now. I looked but could not
find bugs for this with upstream and Debian. If these are known please
add to this bug and we can reopen. Thanks.

connectivity) there too when suspending, so upstream seems legit. My
debian hostname is "beta" .. but it is uptodate.
Appears to be same driver version, different and earlier kernel.

An update, I installed an Nvidia card (to replace the ATI card I had)

An update: I installed an nvidia card to replace the ATI card that I was

Right now, the new control panel offers to install the required packages
when visiting the Services tab. Let me know if the functionality in that
tab is what you are look

I'm a bit afraid of exchanging the kernel, 'cause I'm not a pro... If
the system does not boot anymore, I can't get it fixed :( I know, it is
possible to install and boot different versions of the kernel, but I
forgot how to bind them into the grub-menu (I don't even have a boot

Well. I updated to Natty a couple of months ago to test whether Mesa +
Intel was better behaved w/ webgl (it was).
Anyway, I've done many suspends since, with no repeat of the behaviour.
I'm going to tentatively go with:
