confirm if it works for others too.
After running this command, FTP bookmarks open in Nautilus instead of
Firefox, both in Unity and Classic:

The Plugin-Container appears to be using a lot of resources even when
nothing is happening and doesn't leave enough CPU or memory for other
applications including Screensaver. Just an observation.
Currently running at over 40-55% CPU even with no applications running.

Does remove pulseaudio helps on this issue?
Does #arecord -Dplug:hw:# abc.wav works?
Also, Takashi has some patches for AMD chipsets workaround, like commit
447ee6a7 and d507cd66. Do the patches work for this issue?

I tried selecting kernel version 2.6.35-28-generic on on bootup and the long
delay went away.
I looked through the dmesg log and found that the same message comes up, but
after 2 seconds instead of after 147 seconds. That's much more bearable!
