I am trying to run apport-collect, but so far it seems to be doing
nothing (no feedback, errors, CPU usage or hard drive usage). The stack
trace when I ^C it gives me a feeling that apport-collect does not
support HTTP proxies (It failed in a socket connect).

Tried the plymouth revert script but had no effect. Terminal reported no
changes.
I had not run any special scripts in 10.10 because I never had any problems
with that so there shouldn't have been any hang-overs.
