Sorry for my triple post but I found a way to reproduce the bug easily,
1. Install and launch netbeans.
2. Open two files.
3. Drag one of the tabbed file panels next to the main panel.
4. The menu bar appears and won't go away!
5. Close netbeans
6. Launch EOG and maximize it.
7. Bar goes away agai
It is great to see some activity on this bug! It is quite annoying to have
the internet almost blocked for some 15-20 minutes every time I logg in..
Is there any hope for fix on this bug?

starting the X server) and should be named ~/.drirc.
Alternatively you can place it in /etc to use as a system wide setting,

May have been because I was changing proxy settings on the system to use
my university's proxy autoconfig pac file.
Applying the proxy system wide seems to break updatemanager with proxy
auth requests, even if I add archive.canonical.com and
archive.ubuntu.com to the bypass. APT may have been runn
indeed I was searching for a way to save my settings and didn't find any...

I did some more debugging. What I did is try to move a working cups
config from a redhat server to a new ubuntu natty server. So I stopped
cups, renamed the ubuntu /etc/cups to /etc/cups.ubuntu. The new config

We are doing the Ubuntu hardware certification test on ThinkCentre M91p.
The first time we tested function of hibernate and resume,they worked properly.
The desktop can hibernate successfully on 2nd time,but once the resume is
initiated,the screen became blank(shutdown maybe)

I updated to the latest version of xorg yesterday ( may 18th 2011 ) -
xserver-xorg 1:7.6+4ubuntu3.1
Now, opening any qt based application ( or after the interface is open,
interacting with it ) crashes xorg, reboots and goes back to the login
screen
applications that crash xorg consistently are clementine and skype.
