classic, disable the laptop screen and reboot into unity with the laptop
closed. I didn't bother with getting the laptop screen working as I
don't need it.

Why did you overwrite omni.jar? That's a way to guarantee that you break
your entire Firefox install, and I'm not sure where you got that idea
from. Did someone advise you to do that?

I would be surprised if 64 or 32 bit made a difference. Basically your results
have ruled out that it's related to whether a 64 bit OS is used. Screen
resolution difference also seem unlikely (I've reproduced the problem at

I see this on my MacbookAir3,1 on Ubuntu 11.04, "sudo rmmod bcm5974;
sudo modprobe bcm5974" has always fixed it. Using bcm5974-dkms 1.1.9

I have two machines at home. The speed with cifs before the upgrade from
10.10 to 11.04 was ~8MB/s (100Mbit card on the older server machine).
After upgrading the server machine, the speed remained the same. But,
after upgrading client machine, the speed dropped to about 500KB/s,
which is unusabe.
The bug really does exist, at least in 10.04. The screencast shows what
is happening. The animation for "focus" in the compiz animation plugin
is set to "Dodge" to make the behavior more apparent. When the rear
window is closed using its close button, the front window "Dodges" and
the back window g

Now I cannot reproduce it either, I also get fullscreen. I don't know
what I changed to get that effect.
I wasn't really trying to get fullscreen though, but that's better than
a misaligned window.

I do not know if this is the same bug but I just had a system freeze
with a repeated sound loop on my brand new Toshiba L675-7107. The system
was not under heavy load.

Please note that there are multiple different crash bugs, not all of
them are going to be related to the wireless driver. I know of at least
one fix for crashes that has gone into the fglrx driver (if you are
running the proprietary ati driver) and some fixes to the fusion radeon
driver that went

bad array access in the driver.

additional the "cosmetic" patch from rev 336 was also necessary in order
