to install all of i386 qt.
Some parts of Qt depend on database libraries that are not multiarch so

That's a good idea. Would it also be a good idea to inclue the Universal
Access symbol next to the button somewhere to help people identify it? I
was just thinking that it might be good to keep all links to areas
consistent with their symbols. What do you think? I don't know if that
would look ok

If you had a kernel update, you have to re-install the firmware for your
dvb device. If kaffeine or mythtv is'nt working either, you problem is
clearly not me-tv related.
