Here's a video of the behavior. Sometimes it actually does work properly.
Usually this occurs after snapping the window to half the monitor and then
resizing across the desktop (see ~1.5-2min), however I can't consistently
reproduce it or sometimes get it to go back to the buggy behavior.

I also tested the precise kernel in #73.
The kernel works fine, bluetooth filetranfer from ubuntu to a mobile device ist
working.
Will the patch be a part of the official precise kernel?

Renzo: In precise (ubuntu 12.04), you can resize the window by grabbing the
overlay scrollbar, which is much larger than the border, and available
regardless of the session type (unity-2d or anything else).

The secondary USB Mouse started working again after repluging of course.
I try to reproduce the bug again but this time not pressing alt to get
the screen lock promt. that caused the HUD to popup even when the screen
was locked.

BTW, I'm using the cpustat tool in my PPA to make the measurements: ppa
:colin-king/powermanagement - to gather the data I run:
sudo cpustat 1 -q -r cpustat.csv
and then I can import the data into a spreadsheet and plot the graphs.
Maybe this can be of use to you.

It's been a while since we discussed this, but it occurred to me that we
didn't really drill it down to the specifics.
So I think the following should be allowed for ubuntu-defaults-*
packages:
- Additional dependencies (depends.txt/recommends.txt)
- Arbitrary code to customize stuff on the CD
