Well, this is a little bit embarrasing.
The workaroung porposed in #48 have another error, sorry.
I prefer to detail it again.

Nautilus in quantal has no global menu. All the main functions are
under the gear on the right. We've all been getting used to going left
for closing windows, the launcher and global menus.
This is a huge usability issue.

gedit is not installed by default on kubuntu so there the problem exists
too. quickly edit works fine after installing gedit.
