Tried with vm.swappiness=60, but the only improvement is that now the
mouse input is less choppy than before, but still the problem remains -
the computer is not usable at all, one could not even stop the program,

I can replicate this with GNOME Shell 3.8.0.1 from the Gnome3 ppa. Just
crashed it three times in a row using the steps below.
1.login to a fresh Gnome session with no other apps open

Search works just partially: I have 15 albums of this band and only part of
them are showing in search results.
When I'm not entering anything in search string, there only 15 albums appears
from all of my big collection. Only small part of albums that I've already

3.2.0-4-amd64 (debian wheezy), it was sleep over night undocked, and i
put it back in the dock shortly before resuming:

A link (from a ubuntu synces directory) to a directory with over 150
subdirectories also crashes nautilus. So I guess yo ucould easily
reproduce it. Running the following script crashes Nautilus for me
(64bit Ubuntu 12.10):
#!/bin/bash
cd ~
mkdir crash_nautilus
cd crash_nautilus
for i in {1..150};
Same problem. Even more interseting is that it's OK on one PC but not
another, both using 12.04 32 bit!

And this is what I see after removing all songs from Rhythmbox, restarting it
to rescan all library: I can see all 15 albums of Porcupine Tree in search
results and only few albums in Music Lens without covers.
And when I'm trying to filter albums by genre or by year, only few albums
appear, oth
And I forgot: Ubuntu 12.10, 64 bit, Russian interface, Music folder has
Russian name (system default).
