One have to run "pulseaudio -k" in a terminal and than manually select
the device in audio preferences to have it working.

Thanks for the explanation, Martin. I didn't see this mentioned in the
release notes or package changelogs, so I imagine I'm not the only one
left wondering why the upgrade broke what was working before.

Is this bug confined to Lenovo? I have a Lenovo T400 with 13.10 and
suffered the same problem until I used Jean-Pierre's script #3 (Thanks).
Using the Fn/F5 combination several time will bring back Bluetooth, but
it's clumsy. Earlier Ubuntu releases work fine.

Nautilus 3.8.2
Nautilus has just started displaying this behaviour on my system today,
when opening as a normal user. I think all of the zero-byte files -
almost all old windows files e.g. wmv - have been there for over a year,
but after deleting them Nautilus opens.
