I have two MyBook drives (one 1140, the other 1170) and only the 1170
one gives problems. That is, the 1170 is not automounted by the system,

- logged into Unity - still happens.
- removed all Nvidia packages (sudo apt-get remove --purge nvidia-*) - still

- updated Nvidia driver to a newer version - still happens.
