2) the initial connection to the NFS, from the client, is slow

just tested on Utopic build 157 and volume adjustment during call
doesn't seem to control the volume of the earpiece, only the speaker
phone. And turning the volume all the way down even when the
speakerphone is on doesn't turn off all the sound as I expected, it just
lowers it to a certain point.

Removing appmenu-qt5 does solve the problem, but I like having my menus

I successfully installed the following trusty-proposed kernel on the HP
ProLiant m800 server today.

The node is booted at the moment and does not appear to have any

The problem persists in 14.04.
The solution with the parameter in /etc/dosemu/dosemu.conf works:
$_sound = (2)
Could you please make it the default setting?
Alternative solution is to emulate /dev/dsp. Start dosemu this way:
sudo padsp dosemu
