For the record, I had run into a similar issue where the duplex dropdown
in the print options dialogue never showed any duplexer option. It turns
out that I was missing enabling a Duplexer Installed option in the
CUPS control panel administration page for the printer -- once I turned
that on the

when installing an hwe kernel based on kernel mapping, curtin searches
to see if hte kernel is available using apt-cache search.
That assumes the cache is up to date. We need to run apt-get update to
ensure that.

My laptop's HDMI output worked perfectly with both video and audio in
trusty, but upon upgrade to utopic, the HDMI audio stopped working. It
shows up as an option in gnome sound prefernces (under nvidia GK107),
but selecting it keeps the audio output on the laptop speakers.
