On the contrary I would say we can be quite sure this is *not* a
re-introduction of the TSC problem. As I wrote in the other bug report, this
time we do not have unusual high process times. In other words the time stays
increments normally after boot. It is just this one jump at boot. And the
I'm having the same problem 14.04 with rtl8187, toggling switches and
the workaround suggested above does not work. This has not been a
problem in previous versions of linux.

Now at Ubuntu VERSION=14.04.1 LTS, Trusty Tahr seems that the
one-and-only x86 kernel offered is with PAE, so I cannot easily
demonstrate the difference between PAE and non-PAE kernels.
With the PAE kernel, my machine produces an OOM crash with the

Using the rtm-40 image on krillin (but it was already doing it with the
previous versions of the image), often when running the camera-app the
image shows for a few seconds, then the view/UI freezes for 15 to 30
seconds, then it unblocks and work normally...

Debian reports that this was fixed in 2.4.10-1. As Utopic is on
2.4.10-1ubuntu1, I presume this is fixed in Utopic, so marking this as
Fix Released.
I'm not sure if this qualifies for an SRU to Trusty (details at

I think I spoke to you on IRC about this a while ago? We follow Debian's
configure options by default. It would be useful to understand what
Debian's position on this is. Is Debian also missing this configuration
