Yes, the problem went away with the new DP2VGA converter! I'm plugging
it and the external monitor gets immediately recognized. Sorry for the
noise in this report but I never would have thought that the DP2VGA

I have a Nivida Geforce 7600 GS on a machine used infrequently. A month
of so ago it worked fine, recent updates have broken the graphics
drivers.
It can boot to the login screen which looks OK, but is almost
unresponsive bringing up a desktop. Even for a guest login.
Really strange though. The 15.04 live CD seems to work but if I try to
install linux-image-generic-lts-vivid (3.19) on a 14.04, it hangs...

I have this card:
01:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8723BE
PCIe Wireless Network Adapter [10ec:b723]
I used the ppa on Ubuntu 14.04.2 Kernel 3.16.0-41 and Blue-tooth works.
I also have Ubuntu 15.04 Kernel 3.19.0-20 on another partition and it
works on it too.
If anyone knows the correct package to log the bug against then, please
do :)
