nouveau.noaccel=1 does seem to be the workaround for lockup bugs in
nouveau with Nvidia graphics cards. 24 hours stable.

- Not a blocker, but you don't need to manually specify
libqt5printsupport5 and libqt5widgets5, they are pulled in (with
versioned dependencies) through shlibs:Depe
I'm amazed that such annoying thing has been left for more than 3 years.

The same issue here, I just upgraded the samba to 2:4.3.11+dfsg-
0ubuntu0.16.04.5, have "follow symlinks = no" and debug states the same
issue that samba thinks folders are symlinks. So changing "follow
symlinks = yes" will hide the issue not solve it.

I created a new xenial VM, installed landscape-client from xenial-
proposed and registered it with landscape.canonical.com. I confirmed
that it no longer wants to upgrade lxd to the version in backports and
that upgrading all the packages works if you select "All upgrades".

Po-Hsu Lin, I understand the kernel team is busy, but frankly, I don't
understand why I should be doing all the work when it wasn't me
introducing the regression. There are clear steps provided in how to
verify the problem and the fix. I don't think it should be beyond those
who get paid for this
I'm happy to report that with kernel linux-
image-3.13.0-114-generic:amd64 and e2fsprogs:i386 on trusty the original
issue with lsattr is fixed and there are no regressions with "btrfs fi
show" or "btrfs sub snapshot".
For verification of the other kernels, is it sufficient for me to
install those

Note, this was found while testing for bug 1672804.
I was not able to reproduce this exactly, but I was able to reproduce
the opposite - once. (I did *not* have the extra UA override but it
showed *no* warning). So I wonder if this was a caching issue somewhere,
as then after another restart I got

you are right - I checked situation on my system. Interestingly back
then I also had the errors using GUI like Software updater or synaptic
to install the updates. Looks like I also only removed the
libreoffice-l10n package and installed libreoffice-l10n-en-gb and
libreoffice-l10n-de instead -

There are a lot of similar bug reports for this, but they all seem stalled.
Here's a specific issue with a proposed one-line patch that works.
When I boot my Ubuntu 16.04.2 and select recovery mode, the menu text is
unreadable, showing boxes instead of characters, like consol
