but it did not work either - it also seemed to set SMT to 8 which caused
me a few problems until i realized what it did.

When I first saw this, I assumed that it was a result of ifupdown being
dropped from the image (bug 1698181). However, it seems (as of the
20170826 cloud image) that that has not yet happened.
Additionally, I've not been able to reproduce this with the dep8 tests
that are in open-iscsi. And
I think we should focus on the the essential.
This bug has nothing to do with broken hardware. It's a regression. And as
such, I think it should have HIGH importance, not medium.
xev shows the left and right buttons, but no event for middle/scroll
wheel button.

You probably want to bump debhelper compat to 10.
debian/copyright needs to be rewritten.
I wonder if upstream is aware that src/qtquick/karchive-

Bumping debhelper compat above 9 isn't really an option because the
Kubuntu CI doesn't use Xenial archive backports and Xenial still ships
with debhelper compat 9. The same goes with Standards-version. This is
an intentional `Won't Fix` that is standard across all of the Kubuntu

I have a workaround for it in debian/rules:

Problem still occurs on current 16.04, at least with the 4.4-series kernel:
cpupower still suggests installation of "cloud" packages and they still don't
exist (at least for for ppc64le):
$ dpkg -l | egrep
Same issue w/ another laptop more recent (2016) and more powerful i5-6200,
RAM = 4 Go.
And also 64 bits EFI instead of 32 bits MBR.
