Commenting out PrimaryGPU also worked on my 2 GPU system. It might be
time to patch the driver so we don't have to do this manually. I'm so
happy. It took 5 weeks before we found a fix.

What I did was to find the bcmwl related tasks("ps aux|grep bcmwl") and
I found there was one something like "rmmod []bcmwl" blocked.
I killed it(sudo kill -9 [pid] and I could continue. Now I have upgrade
the system.

the "devel" repositories for bionic.

Maybe I should file a separate bug about this observation, but the
suggestion to install Firefox is confusing even without having installed
the FF snap, considering that the FF .deb package is installed already,
and the icon is present in the Dock.
