IMHO, we found the reason. Because of new snap packages there were a lot
of existing loop devices when the installer created loop devices for
installing.
So the loop device for installing is /dev/loop10 which is a problem for
grub. The range of supported loop devices is from /dev/loop0 to
/dev/loo

Same issue here, although the stutter only lasts for a few seconds and

Can also reproduce by starting a YouTube video. Stutters as the video

Hi,
I just tested a beta release of 18.04 and read the release notes and
found ifupdown to be replaced by netplan.io.
This does not look like production-ready, the documentation is
insufficient, especially about migration from earlier ubuntu versions.
- There's a file /etc/
I also see those error messages on 2 systems. Compared to other people:
- it has nothing to with the locale (I use en_US.UTF-8 for everything)
- my systems use an Intel GPU (not NVidia)
- I do not use a HiDPI screen (only FullHD)
- I have no delay when logging in

To be clear, what's really bothering me is this line in
DpkgTerminalLog.txt:
Unpacking tlp (1.1-1ubuntu1) over (1.1-1) ...
Which mean that the version that was there before you tried the upgrade
was 1.1-1. But 17.10 (Artful) has 0.9-3.
Even more disturbing is this line:

Also affects Ubuntu 18.04 bionic (beta2 right now).
