Until some days before we used selfbuilt apcu 5.1.11. After changing to
repo-apcu 5.1.3+4.0.10-1build1 several server crashed several times a
day. After changing to sury-repo
(5.1.17+4.0.11-1+ubuntu16.04.1+deb.sury.org+1) the problem disappeared.
