repository.
Please help us by testing this new package. See

Regression testing done with 3 approaches:
1) synthetic reproducer in kernel.org BZ#202833 [1]
2) stress-ng --class filesystem,io
3) xfstests (aka fstests)
No regressions observed in Bionic/Focal/Groovy between original/patched
kernels, in s390x native VMs in canonistack-bos01.

Thanks John for the reproducer.
(Per standup discussion) what we can do is probably handle the case
where /dev/console exists but can't be written to more gracefully. I
think this is the only place where /dev/console is written to:

Public bug reported:
Ubuntu 20.10 updated from 20.04
Boinc client works but when I try to launch Boinc Manager, I get the error :
gui_rpc_auth.cfg exists but can't be read
And the Boinc Manager window doesn't display the jobs.
ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 20.10
Package: boinc
Relevant output from DpkgTerminalLog.txt:
=> Installing the chromium snap
==> Checking connectivity with the snap store
===> Aborting at user request
So it looks like you cancelled the installation (with Ctrl+C maybe)?
I suggest re-installing, if that's what you want:
sudo apt reinstall

Same error (grub-install failing) when trying to install Ubuntu Mate
onto bare metal. I have no ESP (and have no room to make one), but saw
no warning about a missing ESP.
What's worse: the installation failed to boot: it hung while trying to
mount something. Rebooting into another distro and
Ok, this is an unusual one from snapd.
Usually we only see this if you're running "snap install" inside a privileged
container.
Can you confirm that this happened on a "real" system (physical or VM)
and not inside a container?
If so, we'll re-assign to snapd for investigation.

This was due to bad translations in LXD breaking the binary.
We've both fixed the translations upstream now and have made it so the
migration tool runs in C.UTF-8 always to avoid translations getting in the way.
