I can confirm the same issue. In my case it was a fresh install of
postfix. Worked the first time, but I used Synaptic to completely remove
it including the conf files. I then reinstalled with Synaptic and it
would not let me get through the postinst. The error was related to the

The logs show that the PC (I assume this is still the Prestigio 157?)
doesn't provide a radio frequency kill switch using the usual HAL
(hardware abstraction layer) identity. Here's an example of what I'd

I do believe I'm getting something similar to this.
I don't have anything in logs that would suggest a fail, but after a
period of around 4-6 hours network inactivity, my system will freeze

I've had MANY X related issues today since a recent package update on
Jaunty, and this one is the most reproducible. Every time I issue a
ctrl-alt-f# to switch to a tty, the screen goes black, one or two
random color ascii characters
I can confirm the bug and the solution. I agree that the default needs
to be changed. The behavior changes without letting the user know, and
there is no visible solution (except that bugreport, but i don't expect
every user to come here to find out how to get the old default behavior
back).

I can not reproduce it any more. Looks like it was fixed after some
updates. Anyway it was happening only if video is played with gxine. So
probably it was a gxine issue. But it is not happening any more so I
have marked it as invalid. Sorry for disturbing.
